Deborah created Kellands in 1994 with a clear vision to create a boutique real estate company that appealed to her aspirational clientele wanting to buy and sell ‘x factor’ properties.
With a passion to have Kellands known as the ‘Saatchi and Saatchi’ of the real estate industry, Deborah is renowned for promoting properties with a unique marketing edge and achieving benchmark sale prices.
To that end Kellands now demonstrate that they are achieving, on average, 38% of the highest recorded sales of the most expensive properties in Auckland’s key affluent suburbs for the past four years. In some suburbs, such as Herne Bay, they have sold 66% of the top properties.
Deborah’s career in real estate started in 1981 and in that time she has been instrumental in establishing the first apartment projects in the CBD (with the largest being Princes Wharf), creating major coastal developments such as Matiatia Estates on Waiheke Island, and the Omaha Beach Development.
Deborah’s own passion for architecture and design led her to build a team that strives to educate and lead the industry in marketing architecturally recognised property. To that end Kellands is often known as the “architects” agency.
Deborah's personal commitment to architecture and design has also seen her personal properties and Kellands’ offices receive both local and national NZ Institute of Architects awards. In 2010 Deborah’s Waiheke property achieved the National Gold Award for NZ Institute of Landscapes.
